Highstreet Edit

The time has come once again for me to give you a lowdown of all my favorite highstreet menswear finds at the moment.

River Island - Baseball Coat, Polo Shirt, Fedora, Rib Insert Tee, Fur Parka, Design Forum Sweat Asymetric Zip Coat

River Island didn't even feature in my last highstreet edit, but they have upped their game in the last few months, and come up with some super special menswear pieces - especially within their range of coats. That baseball jacket collar coat is beyond perfection - If I could afford it, that would definitely be my new winter coat. There is also something about the polo shirt - I'm not normally a polo fan, but the stand collar gives it that bit of difference, and makes it feel a bit slicker than your standard polo. Zip detailing is huge at the moment, and the last three pieces within my edit of River Island clearly illustrate this.

H&M - Longline Bomber Jacket, Grey Fur collar jacket, Biker Jeans, Leather Gloves, Asymetric Drape coat, Asymetric Drape Cardigan, Layered Joggers, Leather Jacket
Rick Owens is huge right now - and H&M are clearly aware of that fact. Good news for people like me, because it means Rick Owens inspired pieces are within my grasp (and price range!). The Asymetric drape coat is a fantastic example of a Rick inspired piece - it's such a great cocoon shape, I just want to snuggle up in it. H&M also has some great leather pieces at the moment, including jackets and gloves - perfect for this sometimes warm sometimes cold we're having at the moment.

Zara - Asymetric Funnel Coat, Dropcrotch Trousers, Silver Backpack, Black Clutch, Grey Check Coat, Check Jumper, Collarless Blazer
Zara know just as well as H&M that Rick is big news, and they even have something called the 'Dark' collection at the moment, which they may as well have called 'Drkshdw, but cheaper'. Included in this collection is the lowest drop crotch trouser ever to exist. They are amazing, and I'm sure they would be the most comfortable and probably the most fun trousers to wear ever. Check is also huge once again this season, but updated in the form of more blurred checks. The coat and jumper would look great styled together for bit of a pattern clash. I also love the clean lines of the collarless blazer, great layering piece.

Topman - Biker Coat, Faux Leather Dungarees, Premium Clutch, Grey Coat, Asymetric Tee, Topman Design Coat
Last, but by no means least, Topman - and once again a fantastic selection of coats (can you see a theme here?!). Yes I've become coat obsessed, but with so many fantastic options out there is it any surprise? The Topman Design overcoat has a fantastic shape, and great PVC detailing to the coller, giving it that extra edge. They had this coat in baby blue in the show, I really hope it goes on sale because it was so so beautiful. Also, dungarees are making a comeback! I was so obsessed with dungarees this time last year, but kinda went off them. I love the idea of a leather dungaree, and makes this much loved trend wearable for the new season.
