Review: Monochrome LDN Spring/Summer 2014

I love Fashion Week, because it's a great opportunity to discover amazing designers and brands you might never have heard of. One such brand for me was Monochrome LDN. Monochrome were showing as part of Heavy London, and showcased some gorgeous pieces from their Spring/Summer collection.  This is actually Monchromes fourth season, and they returned with a refreshed colour palette for both men and women. This season engineered sportswear met their signature geometric tailoring while maintaining a genderless aesthetic. There is a feeling of 'space travel to an abandoned planet', exhibited through luminous prints and solar reflective accessories. There is considerable attention to symmetry through unusual cutting techniques and graphic pattern cutting. For me, it is the detail within the pieces that really makes the collection. Jacket linings have beautiful strap details that only the wearer would know about. Below are a few of the photos I took of the collection during Fashion Week (I should have taken much better photographs - apologies!)

Equally is amazing is their current Autumn/Winter collection. Much more up my alley in terms of colour palette (it's all black), and some fabulous silhouettes. Below are a few of my favorite pieces from the Autumn/Winter collection, and you can shop the collection here.
