On Saturday (despite having a massive headache), I went to visit 'Off The Rails', A menswear event that was held in the Truman Brewery between the 30th October and 2nd November. Off The Rails descibes itself as the Definitive Menswear Retail destination, and I have to agree. Over 70 classic and contemporary menswear brands made the space their home for the four day event, and it was visited by over 4600 visitors. This is not just a shopping event, as in addition to stalls representing brands large and small, there were also complimentary styling sessions from the Topman personal shoppers, a Murdock pop-up barber shop, drinks and burgers provided by Mr Hyde and Patty & Bun respectively, Dj's and Live Acts. So even if you had no interest in the clothes there was something to do!
I, of course, had a lot of interest in the clothes, and there was so much fantastic menswear on offer. My new favourite menswear brand Tourne De Transmission were there with their stunning Autumn/Winter collection, so so beautiful I could have bought it all! Equally awesome were Blood Brother (who, by the way, are part of a group sample sale this weekend at the same venue!). Another amazing brand I discovered was Mono, who have some beautiful menswear silhouettes and put a modern twist on traditional menswear. Scarlett of Soho are also worth a mention as they papped me during fashion week, and its really nice to see this fledgling eyewear brand flourish! Shoes and Coats are my two obsessions at the moment, and I discovered the perfect Camel coat thanks to Noose and Monkey, who have recently started selling in selected Topman stores and online. Markus Lupfer is a brand that I never really considered before, as I really don't like their womenswear offering - but their menswear is actually really cool! There was an awesome lazercut sweater that caught my eye and some really awesome biker inspired pieces with zip detailing. There are far too many brands for me to name them all, so for more information on the event please visit the website here. Check below for a few snaps from the event.
