His Name Is Philo

Coat - Vivienne Westwood Man, Top - Villain, Jeans - Acne, Hat - Urban Outfitters, Belt - c/o OPEN, Backpack - Topman, Shoes - c/o OPEN

I put this on the other day and my housemate described me as the male Phoebe Philo. I'll take that one! And I'd be lying if I said I didn't have the creative director of Celine in mind when putting this look together. Philo's style is all about understated casual chic, something she always channels through her collections for Celine, and the thing that won her 'Best Dressed' in the 2003 January issue of Vogue. The thing that really makes this outfit are the jeans - which are the 'Pop' jean by Acne. They were an absolute steal in the Selfridges sale - £20 from £190! It pays to shop the sales right at the end, because you never know what you're going to get for a very reasonable price. I paired the jeans with a simple white vest and threw on my staple Vivienne Westwood coat for warmth. How could I wear anything other than Celine-esque slip-ons on my feet? Available from OPEN here, and I completed the look with leather accessories in the form of a baseball cap, backpack, and this very clean, minimal belt - also available from OPEN here. All very New York chic, no?!
