London Fashion Week Day 2 #LFW

Roll Neck - H&M, Blazer - Zara, Kilt - Studio Collection, Jeans - c/o OPEN, Fedora - Topman, Clutch - Zara, Boots - Topman, Septum Ring - Gypsy East Jewels

Day 2! I had a fantastic day at Somerset House. After once again changing my mind about what to wear, I eventually decided on all black, and I'm so glad I did, as I got papped so many times, with one instagram user even saying I was the best dressed! Maybe an exaggeration, but I still appreciate the sentiment. So in the end I decided on my man skirt as a statement piece, and then styled the rest of the look around it. My chunky roll neck jumper was an obvious choice, not only because it looks so good with the kilt, but also because it's so cold at the moment! I layered my new Zara blazer over the top to smarten the look and give it a cleaner edge. I knew I wanted to wear my Gypsy East septum ring with something over Fashion Week, and this outfit seemed to be the best choice, as the all black needed that extra something to make it stand out. I completed the look with pony hair boots, fedora and a simple black clutch bag. After spending a few hours around Somerset House and promoting the blog, I headed to the Fashion Scout venue for the Soojin Lee show. Soojin Lee is a South-Korean born fashion designer based in London, considered one of the most promising among new and emerging designers, and one of the most innovative Korean fashion designers. Much more successful than last night's show in terms of organization, seating happened half an hour before the show was due to start. The collection started with some beautiful military inspired pieces. I really liked the way tough menswear details were paired with feminine sequins, metallics and pleating (once dress in particular combining all three to fantastic effect). Then there were some lovely photographic prints, but then the collection became slightly less innovative, in my opinion anyway. The florals weren't really up my street, but I'm sure they would be really commercial pieces. Check out my photos below and decide for yourself. Roll on day 3!
