Going to the Thom Browne event the week before last has really gotten me into Thom Browne. This look has been inspired by the Autumn/Winter 2015 collection, which was all black and referenced mourning clothes and death. I treated myself this month to another piece from one of my favorite brands - The Freak Show. Shop the whole Freak Show collection here. I had wanted this black maxi dress for a long time, I love the high neck and drapey shape of it. I intend to wear it full length, but for this look I wanted to show of a bit of leg, so I tucked the front of the dress into a pair of shorts, and then layered a smart clean blazer over the top. I finished the look with a pair of knee high socks and my smart cut-out tasseled shoes. I think the combination of lengths really works for this look, with the unexpected bit of flesh showing in true Thom Browne style. And I'm definitely championing the genderless clothing trend - go fourth and wear what makes you happy.
