Notch London is a new menswear label born out of a passion for clean modernist design and meticulous detail. Their Spring/Summer 15 collection speaks volumes of the belief in simplicity, class and the art of understatement, effortlessly blending style and trend led silhouettes. As I'm sure you all know, this is right up my street, so I jumped at the opportunity to collaborate with this awesome fledgling menswear brand. I was sent a navy breton striped short sleeve sweatshirt. I love how the brand incorporates interesting little details to make staple wardrobe pieces that extra little bit special. This top, for example, utilizes the reverse side of the fabric to give the back and front a really cool contrast. After falling in love on the Autumn/Winter 15 catwalks, I am now truly embracing the wide legged trouser. I found these vintage sailor trousers in Rokit over a year ago, and have been waiting for the perfect outfit to wear them with. I think they work really well with the top, giving the look a nautical nod, without looking like fancy dress, and they were an absolute bargain at only £7! I added some of my signature accessories to make the look really me - black fedora, cut-out shoes and my new black leather backpack (also from Rokit). For some wardrobe staples with an edge, you can check out Notch London here.
