Press Days: Joseph
Over the next few weeks you will likely see a few Press Day related posts, but I'm kicking off my Autumn/Winter Press Days with one that I actually set up myself. The Joseph Autumn/Winter 15 Press Day happened yesterday, and I have to say I'm pretty proud of how it looked! Apparently we had lots of compliments on the space, and overall it was a very successful Press Day. The set up followed the template of the Spring/Summer press day, with a few elements changed to suit the Autumn/Winter collection. The mens and womens collections were split between two different rooms, with the 'iconic' collection situated between the two. For the Spring/Summer collection we divided the room into sections by taping off areas of the floor with the trademark Joseph stripes. We repeated this for the Autumn/Winter collection, but this time used chalk to replicate the white powder used on the floor of the fashion show. Some silhouettes from the collection were inspired by blankets, and so a fiberglass insulation provided the perfect creative prop to give a nod to the warmth of the collection. We used this to line the bottoms of the rails and the insides of glass cabinets. If I was excited for the Spring/Summer collection, I am even more excited for Autumn/Winter. Once again I am going to have so much difficulty choosing my uniform. In the mens collection I really want the black leather zip shoes, and the karate pant inspired pinstripe 'Bradford' trousers, and so many of the felt pieces, and my list could actually go on and on. And it's not just the mens pieces I want either. The 'King' sleeveless coat (shown on the mannequin over a fur cardigan) is so perfect, I can see myself getting a lot of wear out of it. So, basically, I'm going to struggle with what to choose! Check out my photos from the Press Day below, and keep a look out for upcoming Press Day posts!
