His Name Is Koro

Kimono - Koro Kimono, Shirt - c/o OPEN, Trousers - All Saints, Fedora - Topman, Sandals - Zara, Belt - Beyond Retro

It's fair to say that my current obsession is with all things Kimono. So when I discovered new brand Koro Kimono, I think my heart skipped a beat. Koro Kimono is a London based clothing line created and designed by Sophie Hart-Walsh and Tara Postma. Born out of a shared love of textiles, Koro Kimonos are inspired by traditional Japanese costume and made of fabrics from all over the world. Every kimono is special because each collection is only produced once, with fewer than 50 pieces made in each fabric and style. I chose the traditional kimono shape in the monochrome Riley print (well you didn't expect me to buy a colourful kimono did you?!). The length and graphic print really makes a statement. I was originally going to style this in a casual way (and I'm sure I still will at some point), but for this post I went for something a bit smarter. You can never go wrong with a crisp white shirt paired with a smart black trouser. I decided to wear my drop crotch trousers from All Saints for a more relaxed look, which I belted with a vintage leather plaited belt. Continuing the relaxed feel - sandals and a fedora complete the look. Koro Kimonos are currently available in Topshop Oxford Circus, and through their website here.
