His Name Is Arrow

Hat - Topman
Cardigan - Boohoo
Backpack - c/o Rokit
Shoes - Underground

Last Thursday I had the honour of attending the Rachel James secret sales evening and Spring Summer 16 Fashion Film screening. Situated in trendy Hackney Downs Studios, the event was an exclusive opportunity to purchase discounted pieces from previous seasons, Pre-order the new collection and view the fantastic fashion film 'Arrow' - an RJ & Fraction Films collaboration featuring Invader Girl and Man Like Nells. The Spring/Summer collection, entitled 'Slick Lunatic', is inspired by the moon, french straight jackets and workwear, and aboriginal art. Quite a wide variety of influences, but it all comes together beautifully. The colour palette is much more toned down than in previous seasons and there were many beautiful pieces I could totally see myself wearing. Standout pieces included the graphic knitwear and a couple of grey panelled shirts that would fit seamlessly into my wardrobe, but my favourite piece had to be the neoprene backpack with big silver carabiner clips. There was an awesome dark street vibe to the fashion film, and the song has been stuck in my head for DAYS, my only minor criticism being that the music felt a bit too upbeat for the vibe of the collection. Check out all my photos from the event below. In a total contrast to the bright colours of Rachel's collection, I dressed in (surprise, surprise) all black. I have been waiting for ages to find the right opportunity to blog this cardigan. I bought it a while ago from Boohoo. Yes, thats right, Boohoo. Personally I think it looks much more expensive than Boohoo, with the really cool drape and zip detailing and really great quality lightweight knit. I layered the cardigan over my longline shirt, and paired with black skinny jeans. It's been a while since I last wore my Underground triple soles, so I thought it was time to get them back out again. I always feel amazing when I wear them - partly because they look like the love child of Saint Laurent's creepers and Stella McCartney's flatforms, and partly because I'm about 6ft 6 when wearing them. I'm always happiest in my black fedora, and my Rokit backpack is by far the most useful accessory I own (seriously, such a practical bag, I highly recommend everyone own one).
