Top - H&M
Backpack - c/o Rokit Vintage
Socks - c/o Item M6
Sandals - c/o Teva

Ever since assisting the Joseph spring/summer 16 lookbook photoshoot, I have wanted a pair of the Teva style sandals that were used. So when I was approached to style up a look featuring a pair of actual Teva sandals I jumped at the opportunity. Of course there is just that one little problem - it has become so bitterly cold at the moment that sandals aren't necessarily appropriate. Well there is an easy way to combat that, by rocking the 'so wrong it's right' trend of wearing socks with sandals. So many brands have championed this look for Autumn/Winter 15 - from Saint Laurent to Rick Owens. I, or course, chose an all black pair of Teva sandals, and matched them to my item M6 knee high socks. I decided to keep the rest of the look all black to make it feel slick - You don't want to look like a dork in your socks with sandals. Black faux leather shorts keep the look modern, paired with my roll neck top to keep the look appropriate. Over this I layered my River Island duster coat, and finished it all off with my trusty Rokit Vintage backpack. I wore this outfit to do a bit of shopping with my BFF Sinead from Hackney Rose around Brick Lane, and was stopped twice by street style photographers! How awesome is that?! I must have been doing something right haha. And I have to say these sandals are probably the most comfortable things I have ever had the pleasure of having on my feet. So light they are like walking on air. Anyway, if you like it, take some inspiration from my look and don't be afraid to wear your sandals with socks this Autumn/Winter.
