His Name Is Breezy

Duster Coat - c/o Sammydress
Roll Neck - New Look
Trousers - Sparks
Socks - H&M
Shoes - Underground

New Year is nearly upon us, but there's just enough time for one last outfit post for 2015. I had to post this one ASAP because I was so excited for the package that arrived for me all the way from China. Sammydress is a leading global online wholesale supplier of the latest fashion for both men and women with a commitment to provide a wide range of high quality, trendy fashion clothing at stunning factory direct prices along with a class-leading customer service experience to a worldwide community of customers - and boy do they deliver! I was given $50 to spend on their website, including shipping, and was absolutely spoilt for choice. I could have bought lots of smaller items as the prices are so incredibly cheap, but I decided instead to stick with one investment piece. Pinstripes are a huge trend for Autumn/Winter 15, and are set to continue into the new season, so when I saw this beautiful pinstripe duster coat on the Sammydress website, I knew I had to have it. Considering it's low $31 price tag (or £20, for you brits like me), it's actually really really good quality - it's fully lined, well stitched, and the fabric drapes beautifully. And I can't say a word wrong about the customer service, as I had emails every step of the way, and even though the coat was out of stock at first, the shipping time was still very reasonable compared with other items I have received from China. I decided to combine this coat with another huge trend of the season - camel. Another bargain, my New Look roll neck jumper has received so much wear since buying it and it still looks like new. I wore this with a high waisted trouser, which balanced out the proportions of the duster coat and finished the look with Tan suede cleated sole creepers that don't get nearly enough wear as they should - but there again you know me and my aversion to colour! Make sure you visit the Sammydress website here, and I promise you won't be disappointed.

Christmas 2015

Merry Christmas Everybody! I hope you all had a fantastic time and got everything your heart desired! I thought it would be a good idea to share with you the lovely gifts I received this year, and maybe give you some inspiration for what to buy the fashion blogger in your life next year! So here is my Christmas Day gift haul!

Macbook Pro
Ok so this one wasn't exactly a stocking filler. My old macbook has finally given up the ghost, and that means it would be incredibly difficult to blog without a decent laptop to work from. This was my major gift this year from my parents, and is also counting as my birthday present as it was a pretty hefty purchase. But I have to say so far I am loving it - i'm writing this blog post on it right now! It's so much faster and slicker than my old macbook, and using it makes me very happy indeed.

Topman Lux Jumper

Even though I wasn't expecting any additional gifts to my new Macbook, sometimes my mum just can't help herself. And I'll tell you what - posting a christmas wishlist online certainly makes sure you get things you actually want for christmas! I'm sure I've gushed enough already about how much I love this jumper, but I have to re-iterate now that I actually own it, as it's so soft and fluffy, fits like a glove and is super chic.

Starbucks Mug and Teabag

Not all my gifts this year were from my parents. This mug and teabag were given to me by my work colleague Sorcha. As we have tea in Starbucks pretty much every day, this was given to me with a note to hope that it would tide me over while I am at home for Christmas! Such a sweet gift and I'm so grateful to work with such a lovely and thoughtful manager.

Boss Bottled Gift Set

Those of you who know me will know that Boss Bottled is my signature fragrance - there's barely a day that goes by when I won't be smelt wearing it. If you saw my Christmas post last year you would know that I was inundated with Boss related gifts, but this year it was just the one gift-set, which is more than enough to get me through a large percentage of the year!

Slate Platter and Coasters

You will also have gathered from recent blog posts that at the moment I am all about making my flat a beautiful place to live. Some people call it nesting, but whatever it is I am on a home kick right now that won't end until my flat looks like it belongs on Grand Designs. With that in mind, and knowing my love for slate and natural materials, my parents bought me these gorgeous homewares to beautify my dining table, which is precisely where they will take pride of place as soon as I get back to London.

Kooples Shearling Gloves

Last but in no way least, this gift I got from someone very special in my life right now. My gorgeous boyfriend treated me to these amazing shearling gloves from The Kooples and I love them. They are so warm and soft, and I love the zip detail - they're so me! I'm incredibly thankful to have this lovely boy in my life.

Not pictured - another loved one in my life, my housemate Katharine, got me a stunning vanilla soy candle and a stag head magnet, both of which are perfect gifts for me and I love them so much. Of course we exchanged gifts before christmas and I left them in London, so I didn't have them to photograph and include in this post. But I'm very grateful for them just the same. And don't worry, I didn't just do the receiving, I also made the extra effort to get the people in my life presents that I sincerely hope they love and realise how much they are loved by me.

His Name Is Flux

Jacket - Topshop
Roll Neck - Topman
Trousers - Topman Lux
Fedora - Topman

We're having some really crazy transitional weather at the moment. It's definitely winter, but it still feels really humid. It's hard to know whether you want to be walking around in your wooly warmers and thick winter coat or just a t-shirt. This is otherwise known as perfect leather jacket weather. I'm so in love with this leather jacket, that I can't bring myself to throw it away even though it's falling apart - at least until I can find a suitable replacement anyway. It has served me so well, and will do so once more for this outfit post. The leather jacket is by no means the star of the show though - oh no. That prize has to go to these supremely gorgeous wide leg wool trousers from the Topman Lux collection. As soon as I saw them I knew I needed them in my wardrobe, and luckily for me a Black Friday offer meant that I could allow myself to treat myself to them. Well there's nothing like a Payday treat is there?! The thing that really stands out about these trousers is the quality, as they are made from a beautiful heavy felt, they feel like they could be from a high-end designer. Although they are a cropped trouser, I went for the longer leg length to give me the option of wearing them super cropped by rolling them up, or wearing them more like a full length trouser - which is, lets be honest, a bit more practical for the winter months. I paired them with a simple white roll neck and black fedora - my 'go-to' garments of the moment, and finished the look with some zip detail shoes. While the wide leg trousers are the thing I decided to buy, I actually fell in love with the whole Topman Lux collection, and I highly recommend you check it out by clicking here.

His Name Is Cheer

Hat - H&M
Jumper - Whistles
Coat - Topman
Jeans - Topman
Boots - c/o Teva

Last Thursday I had a very busy after work schedule, thanks to being invited to not one, but two different events. Luckily they were taking place just 10 minutes walk away from each other, so I decided to go to both, and take my best friend Sinead along for the festivities. I had bit of a struggle deciding what to wear - I know, I know, I have loads of clothes, but I had a particular look in mind and nothing was quite fitting the description. This is where borrowing things from your boyfriends wardrobe comes in very handy. Luckily for me, he works in Whistles, and let me wear this gorgeous chunky roll neck jumper that he bought for his uniform. It's made from a luxury blend of wool and alpaca which makes it super soft and fluffy. Since buying the wide leg crop jeans from Topman, I can't get enough of them, so these were an obvious choice to pair with the jumper. Over the top I wore my favorite winter coat, and used warm winter accessories such as my new woolen hat and cashmere socks to complete the look. After finishing work I headed east to Spitalfields market for my first event - Pocket & Folds Digital + Fashion Gents evening in the Bailey Nelson store. Pocket & Fold is a brand re-inventing the traditional pocket square, bringing back the functionality that is long lost from a gentleman’s pocket, but with a modern-day twist. In a world with handheld computers and smart watches there is a new niche for the Pocket Square - the need to clean filthy gadgets and glasses. Pocket & Fold pocket squares are made from a high quality Microfiber that is luxurious to touch but perfect for effortlessly removing smears and fingerprints, and come in a range of modern designs perfect for the pocket of any dapper gent's suit, or even styled in a more modern way. Each of the Pocket Squares have been named after famous squares in London, which I think is such a cute concept. You can find out more about them here. After chatting to one of the founders for a while, and enjoying some free drink and canapes, and of course a goody bag, we headed over to my second event, the #PAUSEFestival Xmas Pop Up Press Launch. Last weekend Pause Magazine held a Christmas pop up shop in the iconic Truman Brewery featuring brands Ada + NikLes BenjaminsOTHER UKNXXUSN1.SQVillian LondonAQ/AQSneaky BrandSerge DeNimesMark Thomas TaylorLaurenCeairlineElevate London & MENSPIRE. I was invited to the launch of the first #PAUSEFestival and celebrated the night at a party along with press and other influential guests. Alongside the free cocktails served by male models, there was music from my favorite mermaid haired DJ Fabienne, and haircuts courtesy of Menspire, which I of course had to take advantage of. Menspire offer a male image and grooming service and are based in St Albans. I was incredibly impressed with the skill of my barber and loved the haircut he gave me - he even used a cutthroat razor to clean up the sides of my beard. I was also impressed by the selection of brands on offer and would definitely say this was a one-stop destination to buy Christmas presents for any of the fashionable men in your life. You can check out all my snaps from both the events below.
