His Name Is Malta

Tee and Shorts - House Of Quinn
Sweatshirt - c/o Blitz Vintage
Sunglasses - c/o CN Direct
Sandals - Zara

Just as I tell you all that I'm getting back on the blogging I go and do something incredibly selfish like going on holiday to Malta with my gorgeous boyfriend. Well sorry everyone, because that's exactly what I did, and had a super lovely time. We managed to get an incredible deal on, bagging 7 days hotel + flights for a very reasonable £139. It was so nice to have a chilled relaxing week, and the weather was glorious considering it's the quiet season for the island. Every day was 18 degrees and felt like being in the UK summer time. Most of the time was spent in and around the hotel - which was the Sunny Coast resort and Spa in Qawra. I can't speak highly enough of the hotel, beautiful marble decor, overlooking the sea, with stunning indoor and outdoor pools, jacuzzis and on-site spa. The room itself was super cute (albeit bit of a 90's throwback), with it's own private balcony and excellent facilities. Over the course of the week we kept ourselves busy, visiting the capital city of Valetta on one day, going for meals in the nearby restaurants (the best of which being either the seafood place immediately next to the hotel, or the Indian restaurant next door to that) and spending time in the spa having massages or relaxing in the water. While obviously this wasn't my only outfit of the holiday, it was the one I wore the most as the majority of my time was spent by the pool. The House of Quinn shorts were the perfect swim short, and look great when paired with the co-ordinating Tee. Although it was warm, there was still a bit of a breeze, so my Blitz Remix sweatshirt was a great throw-on piece. The sunglasses courtesy of CN Direct were a godsend on the sunny days, and my Zara sandals provided a great easy shoe. You can check out a couple of photos of the resort below, and if you plan on going to Malta, I highly recommend the Sunny Coast Resort and Spa - you won't be disappointed.

His Name Is Rolling

Blazer - Joseph
Roll Neck - Topman
Sweater - Cos
Jeans - Topman
Socks - H&M

Happy February everyone! Even though it's still FREEZING cold, the first signs of spring are starting to show, with the flowers poking their heads through - making me excited for warmer weather! Anyway, this post features another bargain from the Cos sale - this time a square necked sweater that was only £25! amazing value, especially as Cos is such great quality, and combines exquisite design with incredibly wearable pieces. I chose to get the top in the soft beige colour, although it is also available in navy. I really love the neckline of the sweater, and I think it works great with my off white roll neck layered underneath. My wide leg crop jeans have firmly cemented themselves in my wardrobe staples, and I think I now wear them more than my black skinnies - they just give a more fashionable edge to any outfit. As it's still so cold I threw my Joseph blazer over the top, and completed the look with zip detail smart shoes.

His Name Is Staple

Jumper - c/o Woolovers
Jacket - Whistles
Jeans - Topman
Hat - H&M
Septum Ring - Gypsy East Jewels
Boots - Dr Martens

There are certain things that every man should have in his wardrobe, basic wardrobe staples that will carry you through any outfit dilemma. You might think that this means that these pieces have to be boring but it's simply not true. When Woolovers approached me to collaborate, I knew I wanted to focus on an outfit full of great wardrobe staples, as lets be honest, this is what they specialize in - luxury woolen essentials. Started in 1989 from small beginnings, Wool Overs is now a world class knitwear retailer, supplying nearly 750,000 customers with men's and ladies classic and contemporary knitwear. Their range has grown to over 160 styles available in 180 different colour combinations, so you are spoilt for choice. Given that I wanted to focus on staple pieces, I chose a crew neck lambswool jumper in a soft grey, a great piece that would support a whole array of outfits, from casual to smart, and such an easy throw-on. Continuing with the wardrobe staple theme, I paired the jumper with a clean white shirt, but gave it a twist by wearing my longline shirt from Rabbithole. A good leather Jacket is another item that every man needs in his wardrobe, and this one is perfect, and currently a bargain in the Whistles sale. Basic black skinny jeans were an obvious choice, and I updated my classic black Dr Martens boots with white laces. As it's currently freezing cold, I wore my grey wool beanie, but I hardly needed it as I was so warm from the combination of the Lambswool jumper and leather jacket. Make sure you check out Woolovers by heading to their website here - you won't be disappointed!
